Task 10 – Review

Task 10 – Review

Write an evaluation of your project. Use your plan, production log and blog posts to identify the strengths and weaknesses of your design process. This is best carried out by producing a conclusion to the design process evidenced in your blog. Try to establish whether or not your finished product has achieved the aim of the project.

Remember that you are trying to create computer game graphics and apply project management techniques to direct a project, to a technical quality that reflects near-professional standards following industry practice, showing creativity and flair and working independently to professional expectations.

I have achieved the aim that I set out to accomplish, my goal was to totally redo the art work for MEKKA HORNET. by doing this I created a whole new game without doing any programming, I just created a concept using theory and art. I started out creating a schedule which I tried to follow but with the amount of work I had I ended up getting behind on it, then on task 2 I evaluated the original MEKKA HORNET game from how the game made me feel to the artwork. on task 3 I looked up multiple different things that I could use as inspiration for my game, these ranged from movies to other games. Task 4 included a mind map of what I wanted for the character, boss and where the game would take place, I decided to make it a space game which included a enemy U.F.O and being a triangular spaceship. task 5 included my synopsis for my game, which I made a background for my game and a story. task 6 was the start of my actual art work which wasn't the hardest since I didn't choose to do anything too complex and then I needed to put them designs on T-shirts which I was pretty proud of. task 8 was probably the hardest of the tasks since it took  way more work than all the other tasks. task 9 was simple because it was just me representing and comparing my space like designs and the MEKKA HORNETS insect like ones, which makes me realize that my greatest weakness is my laziness since I don't try hard enough to do the work on time and I don't try hard enough to put detail into my work. so for my next project i am aiming to be more motivated and try harder at what i do.

Task 09 – Pixel Presentation

Task 9 – Pixel Presentation

Present your completed pixel artwork assets on your blog in Jpeg format and upload the original Png versions to Moodle as a compressed Zipped folder.

Ensure that you have included all aspects of your working processes within your blog posts. This production log will need to include explanatory notes, imagery and screen-shots from the software and any other processes you are using.

Task 08 – Pixel Production

Task 8 – Pixel Production

Re-work and simplify your vector artwork into pixel artwork assets using the supplied templates from the Mekka Hornet prototype. You may choose to use a range of software applications to create your assets.
Ensure that you have included all aspects of your working processes within your blog posts. This production log will need to include explanatory notes, imagery and screen-shots from the software and any other processes you are using.
